Visual artist, painter, researcher, Ph. D. in art. She received her Ph. D. degree in April 2023 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, where she completed the Intersectional Environmental Doctoral Studies. She received her Master of Fine Arts degree in 2015 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, Faculty of Painting and Sculpture (annex in multimedia). Prior to that, she also completed postgraduate studies in social psychology at the School of Social Psychology and another master’s degree.
Her creative activity meets the actions of an artist with an inquisitiveness of a researcher. She works in various media: painting, video, installations. She conducts research experiments on herself and on art audiences, assuming the roles of artist, researcher and researched, using tools from the humanities and social sciences, implemented into the field of art. She defended her innovative dissertation An Artist For The World. The World For An Artist, in which she proposed a descriptive approach, providing both an artwork and a knowledge of the impact of art on the artist’s/viewer’s well-being, filling a specific gap in research on contemporary meanings of art.
Deepening her research on the usefulness of art in the context of human psychological transformation, she focuses on the creative process and the waste from the process. She is interested in the relationship between the final work and the process of its creation. She carefully observes the relationship between the artist, the work and the viewer. She emphasizes the importance of the development of consciousness in the artist’s work.
